This July, the EPIC Summer Sale returns, bringing together readers, reviewers and independent authors from across the fantasy and science fiction community for what we hope will be the biggest EPIC sale event we’ve ever run.
From sprawling epic fantasy adventures and grimdark wars to hard sci-fi, space opera and post-apocalyptic fiction, the sale is designed to shine a spotlight on the incredible creativity thriving within the indie scene.
And this year, we want more authors involved than ever before.
Why take part?
The indie market has never been more competitive. Algorithms shift constantly, advertising costs continue to climb and discoverability remains one of the biggest challenges facing independent authors.
Large-scale collaborative promotions help cut through that noise.
Readers love discovering new authors during major sale events. A strong collective promotion creates momentum, drives visibility and gives every participating author a better chance of reaching fresh audiences. The more authors involved, the bigger the reach becomes across newsletters, social media, reader groups, blogs and recommendation communities.
The EPIC Summer Sale is also about community.

Please make sure your pricing is ready to go before the sale begins to avoid any confusion for readers.
Genre focus and eligibility
The EPIC Summer Sale is focused specifically on fantasy and science fiction.
We are looking for books across a wide range of speculative fiction subgenres, including:

Space opera
Military sci-fi
Cyberpunk

Speculative fiction
To keep the event aligned with its intended audience and community focus, romantasy, erotica and overtly political or culture war-driven “woke” titles will not be included in the sale. The sale organiser has last word on what is accepted.
The goal is to create a strong, focused event centred around adventure, imagination, worldbuilding and classic speculative storytelling that appeals directly to fantasy and sci-fi readers.
