Hi folks, as we get close to EPIC’s first birthday, (EPIC was founded July 26th 2021 on Facebook) we wanted to share some of the successes we’ve had since then.
A bright future
Since we launched EPIC on July 26th 2021 we've -
Grown the Facebook community to over 500 members
Launched the EPIC website in April 2022 - it has over 1,000 visitors per month already and is growing!
Ran several Book promotions via Bookfunnel - 1000s of clicks and views with every single one!
Launched the Indie Author Directory which now features over 60 indie fantasy and sci-fi authors websites.
Launched the EPIC Release calendar - an invaulable tool that authors can utilise to promote their new books and for readers to see what new indie fantasy and sci-fi books are releasing.
If that isn’t enough we now we want to take EPIC further. We have plans to launch an E-Zine edition that will feature stories, excerpts, news and interviews with indie fantasy and sci-fi authors. And if this is popular enough we could even consider making print editions.
Your Support
EPIC was founded to give indie fantasy and sci-fi authors a voice and help readers find the latest and best indie books. Our main principle is to showcase all indie authors and their works, not just a chosen few like in many groups and websites. We are independant and fair and we want to make EPIC and indie authors as successful as possible, as well as being the place readers come to discover the latest reads and book deals.
However, to do this we need your support. We have the Merch store on the website already, but are looking at other ways to monetise. We don't want to rely on ads and risk the user experience which is why we've set up a Patreon where you can donate just $1 per month to help us keep the website running and pay for its hosting. There's several tiers of support to choose from but anything you can spare is greatly appreciated.
The Patreon
Our Patreon page is comprised of four tiers. They are:
Mage - $3 per month| Help cover the costs of keeping the EPIC website live.
Sorceror - $9 per month| With this tier of support we can run and maintain social ads and raise awareness of EPIC. More eyes on us means more readers and eyes on indie fantasy and sci-fi books!
Battlemage - $25 per month| Support for this tier will allow us to make and produce a planned EPIC e-zine that will be filled with works from indie authors and will help pay for artworks and designs. You'll be the first to get their hands on the Ezine and will receive it for free!
Wizard - $50 per month| Support for this tier will allow us to make print copies of the EPIC magazine. With enough backers we will aim to produce a high quality magazine every quarter that will be filled with artwork, stories and the best of indie fantasy and sci-fi.
