A Fictional Escapists Indie Sci-Fi/Fantasy Community Project!
G'day Fellow Escapists, Kris here to bring you something a little different (don’t worry the reviews will be back shortly).
I just wanted to let everyone know about a project I recently put out into the world aiming to bring more indie/self-pub sci-fi and fantasy into Brisbane, Australia, and its surrounds. You can check out the introduction video here: https://youtu.be/UcR79b75mos
The reason for this project is twofold, first and foremost, over my 18 months on booktube, I have been blessed with a wonderfully inclusive online community, some of which have even asked if I had my own wish list! Of course, I am honoured every time I am asked however the money could be better spent elsewhere. The second is there is an abundance of little libraries in Australia just begging for some great indie SFF!
The aim of this project is to have authors, readers and reviewers alike donate either their own books or some of their favourite indies to the cause. I will then take every single book donated across Brisbane placing them in little libraries all over the city. There is also an opportunity to donate to a “ko-fi” fund which will be used to buy more indies, help cover shipping costs for authors etc.
The response to this project has been absolutely amazing so far! Indie authors and readers alike have banded together to flood my hometown with indie books. But there is still time to send in your favourites or donate to the cause!

For anyone buying outside of Australia, remember to change the “deliver to” location on your address to a generic Brisbane post code. This will open your options and also cut the cost of books if they are already in the Australian warehouse!

I encourage every person sending a gift off the wish list to leave a little note which can be placed in the front of the book to give the lucky reader a personal touch!
This project will close for donations after the last week in October; my wife and I will then vlog the results and distribution of the books in mid-late November over on the channel.
